The word Short was mainly used to indicate the documentary. The practice of middle length film disappeared and nowadays the action runs around the two lengths left. The Long length is represented mostly by the film. The Short has split: on a side it’s a documentary, on the other is a short length film, an apparently more complex work with actors and a developed plot.
The Documentary and the Short are both valid ways to begin; but if you are still a novice or if you find it hard “to improve” your job, then my suggestion is that to get back for a bit to the pleasant home which is the documentary. We will start from the documentary.
